Mutually Assured Destruction was (and is) the main strategic-deterrent against the use of nuclear weapons. The doctrine uses the threat of total global destruction to convince all entities with these weapons to refrain from using them. This song is Son Step’s offering as a track to play while the nukes are in transit to encourage a YOLO / “So it goes...” / party-vibe right up until the moment of impact. The lyrics’ meaning changed vastly during covid-days, but the party-vibe remains.
